What clothing can be used?I can make a keepsake from most fabric and it does not have to be made exclusively from clothing. A keepsake can also be made from horse rugs and dog beds/blankets. Please ensure that all items are clean and washed before sending them. If you are concerned about the fabric of the clothing you would like to include in your keepsake, please message me first to discuss.

Is a Keepsake Bear and a Memory Bear the same thing? The Keepsake Bear and a Memory Bear are usually the same design, the difference is the clothing the Bear us made from. A Keepsake Bear is most often made from baby grows or sentimental clothing - a school uniform for example. A Memory Bear is often made from clothing belonging to someone that is no longer with us. Both Bears are full of sentimental memories for those that receive them.

How many items of clothing are required? The more items you send me, the greater choice I have to create you a truly personalised keepsake. As a rough guide, I recommend at least: Newborn clothes/babygrows - 8 to 10 items School/Brownie/Cubs -1 uniform Adult clothes - 1 item - but a selection is preferable for a choice of colour and patterns Horse rug - 1 to 2 Dog/cat beds/blankets - 1 (please check the style is suitable first to avoid disappointment)

-
Is a keepsake machine washable?I would not recommend machine washing a keepsake. If cleaning is required, please spot clean using a mild washing solution and allow to dry naturally.

How long will it take to receive my keepsake? The time scale from me receiving your items, making and returning your keepsake to you is on average 10 to 12 weeks. However, this is just a rough estimate and does vary. When I receive your items, I will message to acknowledge receipt and advise as to the current time scale. If you have a particular date you would like the keepsake returning for, please message me before ordering so I can confirm if I can make the keepsake in the time required. I would hate to disappoint you by missing an important date. Keepsakes have been very popular Christmas presents over the last few years. If you are thinking about ordering a keepsake as a Christmas present, please order as soon as possible. On average, my order book is full by September to guarantee Christmas delivery.

Is a keepsake a toy?the simple answer is NO. Due to the nature of the item and the products used, a keepsake cannot be CE tested. A keepsake should not be given to a child under the age of 14 years and is for display purposes only. I ensure the stuffing used and the eyes all comply with the relevant legislation, but cannot guarantee that a keepsake will withhold being played with.
